London-based artist, Charlotte Mann uses intricate life-sized drawings for her installations. Using only a black marker, she depicts scenes of furniture, clutter and even floor boards! Charlotte uses a special water-based marker called the Posca marker pen, which is non toxic. This prevents her from feeling light-headed from the fumes, during long drawing sessions. Her wall murals take away the need for acquiring fancy decorations and even furniture in some cases. She has collaborated with fashion designer Peter Jensen to create breathtaking backdrops for various fashion shows. Check out all of Charlotte’s insanely detailed doodles on her webpage.

WE MAKE CARPETS.. ‘Ain’t Makin’ Your Gramma’s Carpet
Clothing pegs, pasta, toy solders, plastic forks, band aids.. disposable materials that would otherwise never be used to weave a regular household carpet. But do not be fooled, my friends! These are not ordinary carpets.. They are SUPER CARPETS! WE MAKE CARPETS is a project that unites the wonderful talent of designers Stijn van der Vleuten, Marcia Nolte and Bob Waardenburg. Their series displays various contemporary carpets that are created out of abnormal materials. The designers allow the materials to dictate the flow and pattern; they do not premeditate their design with sketches. Each carpet is unique and enchanting! Check out all of their amazing carpets, here.

Nothing Thinks Outside the Cardboard Box
Nothing is an advertising agency based in Amsterdam. And when it comes to creativity, they definitely think out of the box. There may not even be a box with this group! Which is amazing. When designing an office, their super-star team composed of Alrik Koudenburg and Joost van Bleiswijk, decided to demonstrate exactly what Nothing is expertly known for: their ability to turn nothing into something. Alrik and Joost formulated a no screw no glue technique which I’m still trying to figure out. Check out their website, here, for more pictures, a video of their office being built and their beautiful campaigns.
